Really down today. Got in trouble at work and may lose my job. Been there about 20 years. Afraid of the implications for my family. Feeling alone

I would hope 20 years of service would afford you some loyalty, or at least a second chance. No point in stressing about implications until you are positive you are out of a job. You aren't alone my friend .

I lost my job a week ago, but I have over a year sober and I knew that a drink was not going to make it better.

Stay out of head as best you can and do the next best indicated thing like reaching out to someone who has less time than you it really really works and has kept me sober
