Really want to drink and get messed up to pass

Really want to drink and get messed up to pass out and forget about things for awhile

I think we all do, being in recovery is acknowledging that feeling and not going down that path

I know how much there is too lose and some days that’s not enough. And there is no one I feel like I can talk to about it

There is always an after “awhile” waiting. Not worth it. Just muscle through it. Zoom meetings? Keep reaching out. You can make it awhile.

Not sure who to reach out to anymore

Check your area for meetings online. AA or NA dot org. Getting plugged in helps everything work out.

I need to get out of my head and find a different outlet from work for sure.

Drink tomorrow. Stay sober today. Maybe you’ll feel differently tomorrow.

Hey Eliza! I gotta agree with my brothers Shawn and K. Bradford. Don’t drink today, and go find your peeps. They are waiting for you. Whether it’s AA, NA, or some other daily program with meetings and a fellowship…there are some great people waiting for you.

I know you all are right.

Yeah the disease of alcoholism is knocking on your door. It's trying to get you to believe the big lie; that this time things will be okay. Are they never are, are they? Then we have to start all over again and it always brings us right back to where we are at this moment. Life doesn't really get easier for us. We just get better at handling life one day at a time. Hope you're getting to some meetings and making some phone calls. It makes it much easier.

Yeah alcoholism sucks. I know how bad it can be. I am just stuck in a rut right now between sobriety and forgetting

Hey Eliza, are you ok? Hang in there. Oblivion doesn’t fix anything. Only destroys.

I will be fine. And oblivion Doenst fix anything. I know you’re right but it’s. So tempting. I can’t start over again though, it sucked the first time.

Hang in there. Booze doesn’t make anything better. But it will make you much less capable to cope with life’s issues. Not worth it. You got this!

That is some good self realization. Finding that outlet is key. I am finding how long the weekends are when sober haha. Trying to find a hobby to fill the void is hard work.

There is so much time in the day and I feel unmotivated to do anything

What helped me was doing just one thing. Slowly you can build up to your old energy level. The self talk is important too and don’t be too hard on yourself. This helped with physical rehab when I broke my ankle.
