Recently had bloodwork ran. Came back with a B1 deficiency.
Was surprised when I saw alcohol could be a large contributor.
Reading some of the symptoms and it makes sense.
Anyone else ever had this issue? If so any suggestions?

Thanks for sharing this! B1 deficiency is way more common in recovery than people realize, especially after long-term drinking. A lot of ppl have had success with daily B-complex supplements and eating more whole grains, nuts, and leafy greens. Keep taking care of yourself, healing happens one step at a time.

I had to take a vitamin D supplement for a while when I stopped drinking. I still do to be honest with you.

I thought my brain was broken for a bit. I was tingling all over my body, especially my hands and feet. Even reading the big book in meetings when I was called to read in my first 90 days was difficult.
Cutting booze and changing my diet by inadvertently adding foods rich in vitamin B made all my symptoms go away.
