Does anybody have one? Opinions on their usefulness? Im in AA, have a sponsor and doing the steps. Wondering if a coach can bring anything extra to the table.
Yes always. In my experience recovery coaches are more meant for people starting from zero and need help putting the pieces back together in a new way of life. But I was with my recovery coach for years and she helped me, guided me with anything that I needed help with. Connections, jobs, and the stuff that you are already doing. I’m one course away from being a recovery coach and I highly recommend you meet yours to be. You can work together for as long or short as you want or insurance will pay for. Recovery coaches have an arsenal of resources. Go for it and good luck and extra props for your sobriety!! It’s worth it…..
Coaches can sometimes offer a different perspective or help with setting goals outside of AA’s structure. It might be worth exploring if you’re looking for extra tools for your recovery.
