Today, I truly surrender and gave GOD the wheel to drive. And I must say I got the only high today. Side note if I would have known about this type of high, I probably would have joined the recovery process a long time ago. lol just saying. Anyway, back to what I was saying. I want to share with ALL new comers tonight. I went to a meeting and learned something that we all probably never realized or consider. I know that with 59 days clean, I sure didn't. As a new Comer that has only one thing, a strong desire to get clean and stay clean. We desperately need help and want from everyone. We never think about when we in this beginning process of despair and our emotions are running wild still and even out of control like our addiction the toll it takes on the recovering addict that is helping us. Let's face it. The only thing we did is put down the substance.That is why we need so much help. But I went to a meet and listened to how our mess can be too much for them to bear cause they 6 recovering too. And what even more mind-blowing sometimes we are a reminder of something in them that they fix or didn't get to fix yet. So I want all the new comers to know this when you think they gave up on you they didn't. When you think they promise you some help and don't come through and your disease tell you they were lying. They weren't lying. Just remember they still recovering too and we got to take it easy on them and appreciate them cause they really do love us and want to help us but we can be a little too much to bear cause again all we did was put the substance down. Don't give up on your process cause I promise you it gets better each day you put in an effort and keep the desire to stay stop. To all the recovering people with time and still struggle from time to time, but take time to help save an addict like me, I'm here to say thank you, and I appreciate what you are doing for us. Never stop loving us til we learn to love ourselves. And when get overbearing cause we new comers with just the desire please remember just that we have no tools yet and we may not get it as fast as you did but we all desperately need your service to get to where yall at in your recovery....I love you all and appreciate you all cause yall help this addict stay clean for another day and for that we new comers are grateful even if we don't show or tell you.
