Who do you follow on Instagram (or Twitter, Facebook whatever) for their sobriety posts?
I follow MJ and many of the people from the sober stories, but I also follow some of the 12 step meme accounts like fucking_sober and sarcastic.aa.book. Amy Dresner is great. A woman named Kate Vitala is cool. @dumbsoberbitch is really good. There are so many.
When I used to have social media I really like @brutalrecovery, Loz is hilarious and so real. I also loved Laura McKowen, but she’s not on Instagram anymore. Tawny Lara and Lisa Smith from Recovery Rocks. Tricia Lewis from Recovery Happy Hour. Chris Marshall from Sans Bar. Amy Dresner is rad, I go to her Luckiest Club meeting every week. Holly Whitaker used to have the best quotes. Glennon Doyle, Abby Wambach and Brene Brown are fabulous for inspiration and thinking, they all have long term sobriety but aren’t necessarily sobriety focused. Oh and Catherine Just, she has over 30 years. This is making me miss Instagram, haha.
I just set up an Instagram account. I’m really liking sarcastic.aa.book.
I just followed @brutalrecovery thanks for the tip!
I dropped all social media a while back to stop all the noise in my head. I also stopped listening to the news and sports talk in the car. It’s podcasts and meditation music for me now…but now you guys have got me missing it lol
Reddit group "IWNDWYT" (I will not drink w you today) or

Sorry brother. I ditched Facebook and avoid all things politics. I’ve adopted a “you get your vote I get mine” approach. That’s what was contributing to my stress and anxiety.
Nice. I should have know reddit would be a good one.
That’s a great approach. I helped create a war in my house over politics last year. Due to Covid, I had my 2 adult kids, mother in law, and sister in law living in our house. I was in full blown addiction and at odds with the whole world. It’s live and let live now
…also helps that everybody gtfo of my house
@sobercontracts is my buddy from the west coast check him out
@drop_the_bottle is a feel good page. I love the posts from tempest and the luckiest club. So much good stuff.
I follow speaker Chris R on YouTube
I maintain my anonymity online. I don't want employers and others to know I'm in recovery. It's none of their business. I quit Faceberg years ago and I don't miss it. Loosid and In The Rooms are my recovery oriented social media sites. Thank-you.
I’ve been digging relistening to Sandy B on YouTube a lot. @brutalrecovery is amazing. Thanks for the tip @jenn122709
My gram account and fb got nothing to do with recovery
