Run to a meeting - AA, NA - as soon as you get out. Within 24 hours. This will give you the support and tools needed to keep the disease arrested. Because, yeah - the disease is just waiting for you to walk out of rehab. But the good news is that love and support are yours for the asking. Go to a meeting and self identify as having just left rehab. People of recovery will line up to welcome and support you.
It’s nothing to be scared of - it’s the beginning of a new way of life. Clean, sober, and full of hope!

I totally get this. I explain it to people that I was like an inside house cat being left outside. I was so uncomfortable. I got to AA early and often. They took care of me.

Meetings! Stay out of the neighborhood you used to use in! Don’t talk to any of the people you used to get fd up with!

Amen! I will be on my meetings!

I’m going to be sure to put my sobriety first and use the tools. I appreciate that Star

Congrats on completing your rehab! You have a Big Book? Sponsor? Get them if you don’t. AA has saved my life and is currently showing me a new way to live.

I’m currently looking for some AA classes in my area. Also, for a sponsor. I do have a big book :dizzy::black_heart::pray:t4:

I’m in California. I could sponsor you temporarily until you find one local, just a thought. We could do a zoom meeting tonight. I have a meeting at 3 pm pst… today.

The meeting chair app is a great app to find meetings in your area…
