I’ve had about 4 relapse dreams this month, i wake up in the dream and people have told me i drank the day before and im scrambling around trying to figure out how that happened. I’m almost 3 years sober and i feel grounded in my sobriety but this is throwing me for a loop in the mornings - ugh

I’m 6 years sober and had one the other day too, outta nowhere. Didn’t tempt me, but it rattled me. Reminded me just how grateful I am.
Fact: Relapse dreams are part of post-acute withdrawal. Your brain stores memories in layers, some come back long after the cravings leave.
But you’re still sober. That’s the win. And you felt it, which just proves the healing’s working. I’m grateful too. We’re not back there anymore 
Being upset while you're still in the dream is a good sign. I have those, too.
