Relapse has been heavy on my mind…

@victoria204352
Hey there my pretty pretty princess... You're an RN. People depend on you to heal if not stay alive.
Do you remember this?...
Dedication: To live a pure life and practice the profession faithfully
Ethics: To abstain from harmful or mischievous acts, and not knowingly administer harmful drugs
Confidentiality: To keep all personal and family matters confidential
Loyalty: To aid physicians and dedicate oneself to human welfare.

You have 822 days of sobriety. That's 822 days you didn't have. Why would you want to throw it away?

If you can't be honest with yourself then you can't be honest with those close to you. It would behove you to come clean with those close to you. Heck you've already confided in us why not the other person(s). It's called keeping your side of the street clean.
I understand that I don't know much about what you're really going through. Heck on that note I've only been sober for a few days, over 13418 days to be exact, so I know little. However I do know that keeping my side of the street clean is what works best for me.
You got this. Don't future trip over it.

Keep fighting!!!

Prayer and meetings really seem to be helping me! Keep your head up...you got this!

I pray you get through this.

The key is one day at a time one day 24 hours part of what you sleep or try to sleep hang in there change it up I know all about the stink and thinking

You can stay strong - the urge passes - I always ask for help from my other AA group members and especially from my higher power - close sober friends also. Wishing you a good sober day with gratitude.

I learned yesterday that being in recovery I feel very needy and annoying. I recommend a sponsor or a dedicated sober buddy if you’re not in a fellowship. A sponsor is more there for you than vice versa, a buddy y’all will have to communicate on who needs what, when. You’re not too much, those who can’t handle you in this life just aren’t enough. Keep on it, one moment at a time.

Get to a meeting everyday. Call your sponsor if you don’t have one get one. If you don’t have a home group join one.
Work your program.
Relapse starts long before you pick up. Start today like it’s day one. Get to a meeting if you’re not a member join it. Get a sponsor. Get active in the group. Work your steps. Read the big book. AA works if you work it. If you don’t want to pick up that bottle get to a meeting today. Inperson is better but online will do.
If you don’t have it download these apps
MEETING GUIDE to find meetings
and
EVERYTHING AA to answer all your questions and give you access to our literature. Read the first 164 pages of the Big Book. Start now your life and your future could depend on it

There is nothing that a drug or drink will make better. I have worked with individuals who lost their licenses because of their substance use as a nurse or physician. It is a hard road to get that back. Don’t let the lies that are running around in your head, determine your future. If you have to talk out loud and state, what is not yet true as being true – I used to call them affirmations, now I think they call them manifestations- do that. Using only looks good before and when you’re doing it. It always looks awful afterward. I was at a meeting today and someone said typically if you put anything before your recovery that’s the first thing you’re going to lose. Make sure that you are puttingyour steps, meetings, service work, and God as your priorities. You’ve got this.
