Relapse

How long were you sober before your setback?

Sounds like a "slip", not quite a "relapse " .... according to the rehab I just got out of. The best time to catch it is at the slip, which sounds like you have. This is the most manageable time to do it as well. If you give up and start all out using them that's a relapse. So don't give up my man. You've caught it at the right time. Stay strong

Stick and stay with meetings. Stay away from old people places and things. Relapse doesn’t have to be a part of your story.

You have to want it more than you want the substance.

Go to meetings and start sharing or connecting with people after the meeting and explain that you relapsed and you are looking for some accountability and motivation. People will reach out and help. You will find that you are not alone with what you're feeling. Hang in there :yellow_heart: it's progress not perfection. Also, make sure you have a sponsor. That changes everything.

Everyday you wake up is a new day…starting over is better than not having the chance…I do tend to think about all the negatives alcohol causes to motivate myself not to pick up the bottle…

Get to some meetings. Figure out your WHY. This journey has to be for YOU or else it won’t work. Just make those meetings and it’ll begin to open up for you!
