Relationships

The first thing I posted on here six months ago pertained to dating .. I see everyone dating and also have been on several dating apps. Even those who have ghosted me on the apps are dating people.. I really believe it’s because I don’t drink and act loose.

I obviously won’t follow the crowd to fit in, but it’s really crappy that I feel left out because I have morals and character. I am tired of hearing that God will put someone in my life. I really feel like that is just a cop out. I love who I am and how hard I’ve worked to get where I am due to AA and God. I guess I just feel like I deserve a chance .. it’s my only issue in sobriety. Finding a good, healthy relationship where the guy is faithful and not into porn and all those secret apps. Technology makes it hard to date. My picker is bad and in knowing that I’ve gotten real strict about who I let into my life.

Can anyone relate? Ladies

Yes! The further I have slowly gotten away from drinking, the harder it has been to date. I dont have much time under my belt but Im worlds away from where I was. Its seems impossible to connect with someone on a real level anymore. Most of the type of people we want to connect with, probably arent going to use the apps for the same reason. :persevere:
