Remembering to be Grateful

Is not so hard. There were times when even stopping to think past the next moments was nonexistent. Today, I am grateful for waking up sober, automatic thoughts of gratitude and service to others. I am grateful for rainy days made for slowing down and for times of reflection. I am grateful to myself for choosing myself day after day with moving forward and remaining sober. I am grateful for having a sense of curiosity in learning more about mental health matters. I am grateful today for my neighbor, my friend, and my two little pups.

Gratitude really does change everything. Waking up sober and slowing down enough to notice the little things is a gift.
