Reminders

I’ve been working the same job for 2 years, and this job starts early in the morning. I wake up at 4am every single day, even on my days off, in order to keep my sleep schedule in line. Some days I really, really want to throw in the towel. I am exhausted, drained. I have my days where I will call in sick, some of those days I will lay in bed until 2pm, some of those days I am a productive human and get a lot done thanks to the extra rest in the AM. But on my commutes to work, I get to witness the most beautiful sunrises. And I am reminded how beautiful and gracious life really is. So today, I am grateful…

  1. I get to wake up in my apartment, get in my car, and go to work.
  2. The weather has been so warm and sunny recently, and my tan is doing great because of it.
  3. I get out of work early because I go in early, so I have so much time after work to enjoy life.
  4. I work with newborns, it is so beautiful to watch new life enter the world every single day.
  5. Another day fighting the good fight.

Gratitude first thing in the morning gives you a shot of serotonin and dose of dopamine which is a great way to start your day!!

This helps me so much. I struggle with whether or not I'm doing rather right job. 15 hour days in the summertime are tough. You just reminded me of how important it is to focus on all I have to be thankful for.

Beautiful sunrise.
I am not sure which one I like better; sunrise or sunset. Nothing beats a California Sunset… well they are out there.
You make such a difference in each and everyone of the little ones that you have contact with. Very humbling. Very real !
Thank you.

I love mornings. Thank you for the share

This is amazing!

I do miss driving to work in the mornings. I loved it so much.

That's so cool! Be proud of yourself you deserve it

I'm grateful for the opportunity to read this sober! It's great to hear someone who is sober who also appreciates the beauty in nature. I have taken more pictures of beautiful sunrises/sunsets in the last 2 years (my sober journey) than I have in the last 44 years of life before that. Coming into conscious contact with a God of my understanding has allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the world which I always took for granted in the past. :pray:t2::heart:
