I'm grateful to soon be starting a healthy, new chapter in my life.
Congratulations
That’s amazing Linda! What a blessing to have taken the time and effort to get sober so you can enjoy these golden years. Wishing you good health and happiness
I feel very fortunate to be able to retire in good health with financial resources. I'll be wintering in Mexico and have identified an English speaking aa group in the first city where I'll be staying, so hopefully I'll have sober people to hang out and do fun things with. Having a sober plan is important for me.
Thank you! I can't wait!!!
Sober is always something that comes, but the key is how we handle it. It's my pleasure to have this beautiful encounter with you, Linda.
The freedom of retirement requires discipline… now you can create the structure of your life
I agree Hank. I have a solid support system, plenty of sober activities and an aging mother with Alzheimer's who needs help, so I don't worry about being bored. I really want to get healthier - exercise more and lose 25lbs- so that's a goal too. An AA friend says people can go off the rails during retirement so I will remain vigilant! Without sobriety, I have nothing.
Hi Richard, I realize that without sobriety I don't have anything. Retirement is not vacation, it's a way of life, and I want and will work for a healthy, less stressful life.
But you don't have to put it on yourself Just Breath🌟
Life is beautiful, and with our experience, we can embrace it fully. Let's move forward confidently and enjoy a beautiful encounter, Linda.
Retiremet is an opportunity to expand or contract
Alcohol will easily contract you into a miserable cycle of self destruction
Sobriety expands you & all the things you always wanted to do will start filling your life
Sounds like your expanding
Congratulations!
