My father died 3 years ago today, he was a great man and a great role model. He taught me work ethics, honesty, charity, and he was a great man just to be around. It’s been hard not being able to pick up the phone and listen to his wonderful stories, i wish he was still here to see me being sober and trying to get my life back together. I miss him very much.

Losing a parent never gets easier. You just get better at living with it. I am so sorry you are experiencing this.

Beautiful way to honor his legacy. Of course he would be happy to know you are doing well. I dreamt of my mom before I went to treatment she was younger and stronger and picked me up off my feet and said, "see you after treatment". If I dream of her I barely remember the dream but she is still in my heart.

for all your responses and support. It’s really nice to know when I am down, there’s people out there to raise me up. I’m still sober and making my way to 18 months sober. One day at a time.
