Rough day yesterday. Didn’t drink my oldest son told me he wants nothing to do with me. Tough to take. I didn’t run to drinking so that is a win.

Time take time. 
“Adult” children can be difficult. I had a very hard time with mine. Continue to show up one day at a time. Take accountability for your past mistakes, and just keep doing the next right thing. We can’t repair years of addiction damage with months of recovery. It’s a process like everything else. You said it perfectly…you didn’t turn to drinking so that is a win

Congrats on not drinking during a rough time! For me it’s all about changing the way I cope, so that’s definitely a move in the right direction. Just keep doing the best you can, things will get better.
