Man the hard part is waking up all times of the night and not being able to sleep. When I was drinking it was the only time I could sleep through the night.
You have to remember as well, when we drink, we don’t end up getting that “restful nights” sleep that we think we’re getting. I would talk to your doctor about the sleeping problems you are having especially since stopping alcohol consumption.
Thank you I will talk to my doctor about sleeping problems
Santiago, you’re not alone on this! I suggest reading the Big Book of AA, it relaxes you when you’re sleepless and sprung. Some call it the Big Blue sleeping pill.
For me it’s one of many remedies.
Just know that this will pass. Soon you will be able to sleep all night. Especially when you get through the 12 steps. For me I did the 12 steps multiple times.
Im here if you want to talk or have any questions
Yes, check with your doctor. He might be able to help. It takes a while to get that good sleep back. Trust me. It does come 79 days today and I sleep within five minutes of going to bed because I’m just busy all day you could do it.
Early sober sleep can be brutal. You’re not alone in that, it does level out with time.
