SCAM ALERT - Mental Health Tele-care Company
Cerebral is an online therapy company who markets to people with depression, anxiety and ADHD.
If you ever use TikTok, you’ve most likely seen their ads.
Like many other companies, they make you give your credit card info first before you can even see the prices. Once I saw the prices, I was like nah. Over a month later I was charged $325. Since they were texting me daily trying to get me to sign up, I responded to the texts and they were nice and apologized but then only refunded $97 (their thing is to refund 30% only and tell you they made an exception for you).
I kept emailing them back telling them this was unacceptable but they just said “again, you had access to our website during that time, blah blah blah”. At this point I was fuming and I told them I would be posting this on the internet and then they quickly sent me a refund invoice which will hopefully arrive in a few days.
It turns out that this company is run by a Nurse Practitioner with no background in psychology and the NP’s that are prescribing meds to people are also NPs with no psychology background. If you look up “Cerebral Scam”, you’ll find many other with similar complaints.
So now I am warning people, esp those who are more likely to seek counseling. Do not give this company your credit card info.
