Scammers

I am really getting tired of all the scammers, not just on this platform but like every social media platform. The real sobriety people are here for healthy support from each other, not putting up with scammers useless and false intentions. I realize its 2025, nearing 2026 and unfortunately this is the world we live in now. It's really disappointing when there are genuine substance use disorder (SUD) people here reaching for help and support, but putting up with the added stress of wondering if its a scammer on the other side of the conversation

I know what you mean. You gotta be extra careful but eventually you figure out fast who's fake and who's real. Watch out for Mary Wilson I believe is her name. She comments the same thing to everyone. Since I got up at 3 this morning, I've had roughly 5 fakes try to add me so far and I rejected each one of them

Mary Wilson has commented on one of my posts, in fact the exact same post twice in a row for some reason. Very scammer like writing and no photos

Ya I know and the other day what she commented on our posts, she said the same thing to a woman

I thought sobriety was supposed to be free. Since when should we pay just to get support and guidance from someone that's in recovery themselves?
