Secular AA 12 Steps

I'll clarify just bit my bad, in some of the other programs they focus on issues your dealing with and help you get mentally well. I believe if you don't get some sort of mental wellness your relapse is already in progress and it's just a matter of time.

Trust me we don't like the censorship any more than our members. Unfortunately that is a requirement from Apple

I know it all seems so complicated! We tend to overthink things which doesn’t help either. I still struggle with listening to others talk about their God, and how God has saved them. I’ve learned to just let them say what they want. If that’s what works for them, then great. I need to be tolerant of them just like I want them to be tolerant of me. The main point is that I begin to feel comfortable with my beliefs and not feel that they are less than (or wrong) because they are not the same as others. I’ve worked really hard to make it work for me. I hope you find a way to make this program or any other program work for you :peace_symbol:

Freedom exists in the mind. AA served me very well in desperation but I have found that for me I cannot deal in absolutes. I can pick and choose what works for me in the BB and in the rooms the same way that I select friends. I had a friend tell me that the WORD GOD , is just that, just a word and I can use it as a term of convenience. That helped greatly. Selecting a higher power is simple for me, it is the universe and all of its components, I am a component of my HP. This has helped me to simply love myself more and as a result love others and feel connected to others much more. This getting out of self has been monumental in my recovery from more aspects than I can list. My physical and mental health has improved immensely as a result. I am not a recovering alcoholic so much as I am now again a recovering and growing human!

Oh okay. It's so strange, the things it decides to censor

Man, you're awesome. I always love engaging with you, especially about meetings. My opinion on them is definitely starting to change and soften a bit.

There is an acronym that is often used in recovery… HOW. It takes Honesty, Open mindedness, and Willingnesses. I think you can apply all of these things in all of the recovery programs. I’m sure the suggestion of 90 meetings in 90 days would be beneficial in whatever program you l’re practicing. Same goes for all the other “stupid” saying lol. The key is to just get into a program and work it like your life depends on it. Here I go preaching again…lol
