If I had any reason to pick up the bottle, yesterday would have been the day
My son tragically passed away back in February. Yesterday would have been his 32nd birthday. To top it off, His father's anniversary of death, is on the same day; our son's birthday!
However, it turned out to be a beauiful day. My daughters, granddaughter and I, prayed, sent of baloons, had a nice meal, and lots of laughter, as we went down memory lane. And using, didn't ever cross my mind!

First sorry on the losses.
My daughter passed away day after Christmas 2010.
Even 42 yrs sober I still struggle on Christmas and her birthday which is next week. I plan ahead to stay busy and keep family close especially the grandkids and great-grandkids. Congratulations on figuring it out. Next year plan ahead. Good job.
Awwww, thank you so much for your condolences. I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter as well. Although there will always be an emptiness in our hearts, we always manage to make it through.
Congratulations on 24 years of sobriety! You are an inspiration to me. And yes, to plan ahead is good advice.
