SG was way better. Not feeling this app people. Seems more like a 13th stepping site than anything.

I think the fact that you can easily toggle between the Community side and the Dating side causes some of the issues to be honest. Loosid actually advertises as a dating app out in the world, and then people come here and start to hit on people not realizing they are on the wrong part of the app, or go to the dating side, realize there is NOBODY on it, and decide to try their luck on Community instead. It looks like they continue to work on it though, so fingers crossed.

I think you're right. It is kind of confusing at first

Stay on the Community side, which is the recovery side. People have to be friends with you before they can send you messages, so you can control who you talk to. You can block anyone you don't want to talk to.
I've gotten a lot of support here when I was struggling. It's different and not as good as SG, but there are people here that are focused on recovery and very supportive.

Yes, it’s a little different. No, I don’t want to 13 step you :joy:. Seriously, please give it some time. Getting connected is a process. You probably didn’t pop on to SG and feel it right away either. There’s a good core of people on here with a great diversity of life and recovery experiences. Plus, there a ton of ex SG’s on here now. ODAAT my brother
