Shewwww

howdy! it’s been a minute since ive hopped on here, but i just wanted to check in. today has been a stressful a** day. slow at work for majority of the day, but the last hour everyone and their mom wants to buy appliances. appliances, i sell appliances. and, like, that’s fine. however, when i am the only one working and am already helping a decently complex customer (not in a negative way, but it was a lot to work with), and another customer unit continues to ask questions and talk to me, i get a tad frustrated. not to mention there were 2 other customers in their wake.
all this to say, i had to take a step back and (as they say) not allow my blessings to become my burdens. 8 months ago i was stressed on trying to find a job. scared half to death i wouldnt be able to find anything to be able to pay my monthly rent at the facility i was in. it took me a good month of trial and error to find this job, and what a d*mn good job it is.
the people i work with are amazing, the work i do is simple and effective and (for the most part) the customers are pretty great and friendly. ive been blessed beyond meaures for the job i have today and the opportunities ive been given, yet it becomes so easy to become stressed and want to hit the emotional ‘f-it’ button.
being stressed by the world around you is a nautural aspect of doing life on life. make sure that when in these moments, to simply take a step back and list the things in your life youre grateful for. the things youve prayed time and time again for. the things you never thought in a million years youd ever gain back.
gratitude cancels out hate and frustration. the two cannot exist at the same time.
thank you for taking the time to read this! 🫶🏼

@cali288683 "Shewwww" is the sound my refrigerator makes when I open the door. Too

That was a lot to read and I feel inclined to reply. Thank you for the wise words!

This is exactly what I was describing in my post yesterday! My job tires me out to no end but I am so incredibly thankful for it. Thanks for sharing your experience. :pray:t2::white_heart::pray:t2:

I love how you used gratitude and your values to tune low frustration tolerance (LFT) into high frustration tolerance (HFT) to not give into negative thoughts and urges.
