Shifting my focus from lack to abundance

I am coming upon a second cycling of going thru my steps- which means another 4th step inventory, of course. Initially i did begin to feel a Lil dread in thinking about it- but this reading has reminded me of the checks and balances that my daily inventories have provided me along my way - therefore there is not the huge cache of turmoil that existed the first couple of times i did this step work lol and/also it has reminded me that my assets are just as valuable to become aware of and STAY aware of thru this process as well as my shortcomings. When i shift my awareness from lack to abundance, then there is only room for gratitude! The big book even says as much - we focus on the SOLUTION today - not the problems. Putting focus on cultivating one new asset each day does exactly that- moves me into the solution and helps me continue my growth. When i fall short- which we will all do at times- i can then use those assets i have been cultivating to course correct any of my shortcomings along the way- making opportunities to discover even more assets in the process! What a beautiful gift this whole ordeal truly is! Blessed be!
Today I'm grateful for these steps that help me to truly be free today, for the ability to shift my perspective in any given situation for the better today, and for the many assets that i have always possesed and now get to cultivate and put to use today bc of this beautiful program of recovery!

Intention for the Day...
To continue to improve upon one small part of me at a time today- focusing on the solution promises a good day ahead of me today!

Thanks for sharing. Instead of wanting things to change overnight I had to learn to trust the process and the biggest one was patience. I agree, sobriety is such a huge blessing.
