Short fuse. I seem to be running on a short

Short fuse. I seem to be running on a short fuse with everyone the last few days. I can’t find my center. Any helpful encouragement and words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. I don’t like this feeling.

When I get this way it helps me to kind of pull back into myself and emotionally sort of hibernate. Not sure how to explain it really. If I’m snapping and losing my temper, it means I’ve lost some self-control. I have to address what is going on inside me. Then I can re-emerge more at peace with people and the world.

You’re not the only one who seems to be snapping. I am as well and seems like it’s the people who are really there that I’m snapping on. I don’t know what to tell you. But ground yourself and keep going forward.

I was dry drunk a few weeks ago, right after doing my 5th step. It drummed up a lot of old emotional garbage I had been carting around with me. I talked to my sponsee every day and he helped me work it out. Now I feel lighter because I let it go. Reach out to someone who you trust to help you work out what’s going on inside your head. You’ll do good!

I like to use the 4-2-6 breathing technique. Breath in while counting to 4, hold 2 count, and exhale for 6 count. This helps me center myself.
Also, I like to put God first in my thoughts. Asking for his guidance and wisdom to be kind and loving towards all. And for patience.
Get plenty of rest.

Oh and most likely we are short or snappy cause we aren’t getting what we want. Or there is fear which causes us to feel threatened and then lash out…
The 4th step of AA has really helped me see my part in my daily life…

Was today a better day?

Thank you for looking out. Yes it was. Up early for a run and yoga before starting the morning routine. Hit a meeting during lunch at work and feeling much better. Thanks for asking
