I spent years battling insomnia. The only thing that would put me out was Ambien but I was always afraid I’d get up and do something. Finally I found a muscle relaxer tizanidine. It’s completely safe because it’s just a muscle relaxer and you only need 2 mg to start. I’ve been taking up forfour years now and I’m up to 4 mg. No grogginess when you wake up.

Massive insomniac here, with a grave yard shift kicker! trazodone is the only thing that works for me.

I get it!! I bought some 10 mg melatonin at Costco. The outer layers look like immediate release & the inner layer looks like a longer release. It works well!
