This topic hits home for me. In my addiction/alcoholic days I hated sleep. I felt that with the way of life I was leading I had no time for me. I figured well if I stayed up late, got up early I could get the things I wanted done. Well that worked until I became so exhausted I needed something to keep me up. That’s when my life took a big shift towards death.
Today, my life has some days where I get a few less hours then I’d like or I should say my body likes. But I’m making up fir those days when I can. I go to bed early on days I don’t have something to do after work. I give myself a break when I feel tired. I can say that when I’m tired I don’t operate on God’s will and with that comes wreckage. I naturally have high energy. I cut out caffeine/stimulates. Which has dramatically improved the quality of my sleep. Exercise has also helped. The one big thing I’ve found is that if I don’t exert my self in daily life it does effect my sleep.
