Slipping up and starting over makes me want to just do it one more time before I stop I again and I’m contemplating it this morning

The catch with falling for that trap is, there is always one more time. Like a friend of mine said as he smoked a cigarette. "The last one before you quit is always the best. I should know I smoke about 6 last ones a week."

And then tomorrow you’ll contemplate it again and again and so on. Either you want sobriety or you don’t. Your choice. No one gonna hold your hand for you. All you!

It took me tons of real effort for it to finally stick.

And doing it one more time just may kill you. Good luck with that

Do you have a sponsor?
It’s really tough in the beginning. I’m sorry you’re struggling. You’re going to get tons of advice and it’s all going to be different. One suggestion would be to get a sponsor and work with her every day.
Another suggestion could be, go get done!!! :man_shrugging:

Yes I’ve thought about that i just don’t know where to begin looking for one I’m not comfortable going to a meeting in person

Find some sober ladies to hang with.

My program of recovery very clearly explained what you are describing on page 58 of the big book in a chapter called How it Works. This is what works for me.

Get help.meetings and :stop_sign:

Keep at it Anna, have faith and continue to push forward, fuck those vices.

If I had all of these excuses .not to go to meetings.and not to get better or help .I would be dead.or locked up.give your self a break.love your self .

Just do it.

You are stronger than you can ever imagine. Drugs and alcahol are garbage. You don't need it
