Smoking cigarettes

Anyone else picked up smoking cigarettes after they got sober ? I have terrible cigarettes cravings and I’ve never smoked cigarettes in my life :tired_face:

Yeah I smoke a lot ever since getting sober. It happens.

No. Smoked more when I drank. But sooo many sober people smoke. The AA meetings. another addiction maybe

Hello BIANCA. IM IN AGREEMENT THAT YOU CAN DEVELOP SOME NEW LIFE HABITS. WHEN I GOT SOBER I DID 40 MONTHS OF DRUG AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT AND YES CIGARETTES ALSO. TODAY IM IN YEAR 36 AND 35 YEARS FROM CIGARETTES. I DID 9 MONTHS OF ACUPUNCTURE TO HELP ME WITH MY DISPOSITION. . REPLACE CIGARETTES WITH CHOCOLATE. YOU ARE DEVELOPING NEW PATTERNS IN YOUR MIND. Yes!! My nicotine patches came in the mail today I got them feee from a quit smoking program. I vape I never did before I was to busy.

Ha! Even at 14+ years sober, I realized my addiction is alive and strong. I quit drinking but then tons of sugar, women, work, gym, caffeine and yes nicotine.
1st awareness then actions, then balance.
I’m always a recovering addict. Booze was just one of my medications that stopped working.
Meditation, service and acceptance helps.
