So, all of this is new to me. I relapsed recently and I've never done any real treatment. I drink in excess and always hit a point that I black out every time I drink. But I don't struggle with not drinking initially, I hit bottom then I'll stop drinking for 4-6 months by isolating and working out a lot. The problem I have is I burn out on the isolation then second I step back in a social setting I have drink. Before I know it I'm morning drinking and blacking out. What social settings do you involve yourself, to help you not drink?

I am curious about this too. I just started over today and the first couple of days I fear of leaving my house because I do not want to be tempted. But I have to leave sometime.
Yeah, it's difficult. Every where you go whatever the activity, is always centered around alcohol. Going to meetings is great for support, there needs to be more to life then going to meetings. I crave social atmospheres, but I know that I'm putting myself in situation that I'm going to tempted to drink and eventually break down.
Meetings if I slacked off. I would not be here. It Is hard.but we need to keep it up.go to different meetings all the time.meet new people.I have to reach out .
