I’ve have felt that way a lot.
Try to find a meeting or a emotionally safe place. Meetings (any type) always help me feel less alone and a little less depressed.

Easier said than done, but just remember you’re better now than while in active addiction. Reach out to your support network. We’re here for you!

I don't know how many days sobriety that you have but you're looking at a new lifestyle. I would go to 90 meetings in 90 days and work on meeting some people that have been sober for a long time. They have been where you are at and they will help you to make all the adjustments necessary in recovery.

As a result, your life will change for the better. Here is a link to the promises if we do what is suggested in the program of AA. I don't know what your drug of choice is but alcohol is a drug so it really doesn't matter.

What’s depressing you??

Hey Michelle, sorry or hear this. Depression is the pits, bit where is a way out. Baby steps work the best for me. Making myself a sandwich and enjoying to, walking my dogs, cleaning a room, etc. And remembering things that I enjoyed on the past too.

I went through a bad depression over the summer. All I did was watch tv. I realized the show I was watching was dark and about addiction and was bringing me down further. I started watching comedy’s and my mentality got a lot better.

I also made myself go to meetings.

Call me we can talk 908 296-8446

I know the feeling… been a rough few months… so sorry to here this. I have almost 4 years too and got to a point where you feel stuck… def only temporary. We will get through

Sorry you’re feeling that way! Im feeling similar but not terribly! Message me if you need to vent/talk

Try zoom meetings where you have the option to just turn the camera off and speak or just listen to what other people have to say. That did a lot for me at first. I would say go in person, but if you’re worried about people just preying on you cause your looks.. may be a good option for genuine help.. just throwin that out there.. you know :man_shrugging:t5:

journaling helps a ton, i journal every day. Really helps me let go/move on from ruminating thoughts in the long run.

Therapy helps a ton.

There’s also S.M.A.R.T. Recovery, which uses cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to change negative thoughts.

There’s also an app I like to use for journaling, its called daylio. Reminds me every day.
There’s also an app called FreeCBT that actually helps me a lot. I can say it genuinely works no matter how stupid or rudimentary it may seem at first.

Reach out to trusted friends and family! You will make it through!
