So frustrating

2 friends from this app. Nonadsicts. Here to "find someone." Asking ealry on the reason for joining Loosid....and one was because his wife was an alcoholic. The other said "wants someone to call his own." Make it make sense....lol...People surely will reach to all kinds of levels to fill their time I suppose.
I am fairly new on here. Naive of me to think like a normal person. Being nice. Being honest and friendly.
At least I was able to avoid the opportunity for them to ask for money..lol

Be aware, trust no one.
Yay to another day sober though!

Hi Laura I hope you're well? Yes unfortunately discontented people or shall I said the bad apples are everywhere. I agree with you this app is important and it's helped ed me tremendously to save my life for God's sakes! Thank you for the warning. When they get too friendly too fast and also insist on going on another app to talk more privately yeah sure!

@laura429559 Bono from U2 is correct... They still haven't found what they're looking for and that's sad. Sobriety is based on attraction rather than promotion.
Yes, it's sad that there are "those" types of people on this app.

Just give us your cc # to avoid this from happening again.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Not everyone is on here to get sober support, internet trolls 🧌

Hai so funny! Same here, some ladies looking for marriage or relationships on an addict recovery site. Ding dongs😅 or scammers.

I think it's an especially evil person who preys on people in recovery and I notice it on here all the time

I join this site for sobriety ONLY and increase my sober network and share my experience, strength and hope with other sober people. Some people are searching for friends with benefits, but that is not me

There’s always a few in every crowd. You’ll know when they are not in it for the right reasons. They don’t get it and never will. Stay focused on you and don’t let them get to you. Consider it like those people that buy you drinks in a bar so your guard will be down. Same difference but instead you’re not taking the bait. Stay strong

Yep. Thats y I stopped accepting friend request before I see if they have posted anything.
Some people's kids. Right

Laura, I get why that would throw you off. You came here for sobriety support, not all that other stuff. Thanks for speaking up. If anyone feels off or pushes past your boundaries, tap the three dots and flag it so we can look into it. There are real people here who use this space the way it’s meant to be used. Glad you’re still here and still sober today.

Crazy crazy crazy

People are crazy, and that’s crazy coming from me lol

Some are sicker than others.

Girl, who are you telling!! lol the online world can be tough to navigate. I was on loosid dating and thought I met my match. Until he asked me for money:joy::weary: romance scammers are a real thing.

If you send me just $10 a month I can set you up with a surefire way to keep scammers away!

Oh no ! Can never forget us alcoholics are still fighting with that addict brain. In addicts of other vices.

That’s pretty funny. I see what you tried to do there.
