So going on day 5 of being sober. Called a place last night to find AA meetings in my area. All they wanted was my insurance info and try to push me in rehabilitation center. I'm guessing they get a cut of the money for referrals. Told them all I was looking for was AA meetings. They asked for my wife's number for emergency contact and when I kept telling I'm just looking for meetings. They said I was hallucinating. I said this call is over the lady hung up and starting calling wife while she was church and harassing with text. They have the AA name on their site. I feel like they broke several of the 12 traditions.

Called to find help finding AA meetings and end up being bullied. They was a resource site supposed to help find meetings.

I agree with Kaleb. the app is called ‘Meeting Guide’.
You can search for AA meetings in your area and also what day of the week, what time you want, etc. You can try a few different places to see which one you like best. Good luck!

@shawn397600 Don't let those people deter you from sobriety. I can honestly say they are not affiliated with AA.

I have heard so many different things but I'm going to tell you mine the town I was using and I couldn't even find a meeting where nobody would not take advantage of me. They were literally charging me gas money to get me to meetings every time I look for a sponsor they would take my number but they would never call me back but they had no problem telling all my business to everybody else. Listen on zoom they have 24-hour meetings for NAA you look it up on the AA website. There you don't have to worry about getting fourth back and forth to a meeting and if somebody's bullying you you just flag them and it's out in front of everybody so they can't not be held accountable for their actions. Good luck I know what you're going through people like to take advantage of people with chemical dependency issues they like to profile is too but the help is out there you'll find it right where you're supposed to

This exact same thing happened to me just last night! Not sure if there is a way to report that site. It was a horrible experience
Thanks everyone.iust kind of made my wife aggravated you ask for help and the want to take advantage. They got real admit about when they found I work in aircraft with good insurance. These people now days. I appreciate you all.
Sorry that happened to you as well. This company had two different names liked to three different sites. I downloaded the app they started above.
