So how do I tell if a profile on here is real of fake?

Really there isn’t a 100% fool proof way to tell however there are tons of red flags/inconsistencies that you should be able to spot just by their interaction or lack of, within the group and in private messages. In general just be cautious of everyone and don’t be afraid to ask questions if something doesn’t seem to add up or seem genuine.

@james357776 I look at the location that they claim as well as reading every word very carefully.

Great question! The app can filter out the obvious fake profiles, but it’s really the community and moderation that keep this space safe. If you ever come across a profile that doesn’t feel right, trust your gut and send me a message and I’ll check it out for you.

Moving toward romance too quickly - this one guy started professing his love for me after the second message - haha - and when they won’t give you a direct answer - like, what do you do for a living? “projects”
