So I got some news that was very upsetting yesterday, and it's the first time since I was sober that my mental health is so out of control. I'm not sure how to navigate these feelings of depression and anxiety. I dont want to use it, but emotional trauma is my trigger. Any thoughts on how I navigate this.

When I get hit like that, I try 2 quick inhales through my nose, long exhale out my mouth.

I try to play the tapes in my head- all the way through, and look at how those things that I chose to help me cope with my emotions and feelings, were very toxic and if NO use at all - especially in my experiences, of NOT being able to change anything at all that has ever happened, and can only change myself as I try to move forward
