So I recently started receiving my VA health benefits. I had no clue I was eligible for them, thought I had to be retired from the military (was in 4 years).
Does anyone that use them also know of usefull resources they offer to use towards recovery and sobriety?
Thanks and advance.
Call the benefits office. They will be able to explain it to you
I work at a VA in mental health. They have a recovery treatment program for substance addictions. They have inpatient and outpatient programs. I work in the building with the outpatient addiction therapists. I’m not sure what area you live. I work at the Dayton VA but I’m sure other facilities have similar programs. Building Bridges I believe is another program they offer for recovery
Thank you Shannon. Will definitely be checking out the link.
You’re welcome Felix!
Check to see if your VA had a GWOT area. They offer a lot of resources as well. The cater specifically to Iraq, Afghanistan and veterans that served in Africa.
Hi Felix! I know how you feel, I was the same way. The VA has awesome resources. Where are you located?
