So i want to share where I am today. The devil was riding me all day. I woke up early today to go to my doctors appointment before work. To show up and the clinic say i cant be seen cause they dont accept my insurance. So from there I went to the post office for about the forth time this week to cash a money order i had for about a week. The lady was finally going to cash it and then said she cant because I dont have the proper ID. Plus my bank dont allow me to deposit it to my account. So I just went to work. Then the hospital was really calling me all day about my son care. Which he has been there for almost two weeks. My beast (addiction) thought he had me right were he want for me to mess up and get high. But my higher power had other plans because I end my night with some amazing women at a great empowering women art show. My gratitude is that I really learned the meaning of living in the moment and not in my emotions. Because living in my emotion have me fall short and get high with the "fuqq it" attitude that get me nowhere good. But instead I kept living life and living it on life terms to end the night still clean and sober instead of being sowhere i dont got no business being and indulging with people I dont NEED TO BE WITH. They say we do recover I say I do recover living one moment at a time.
Yes Precious! This is what it is about. Life is lifey, but we get through it sober. Proud of you!
Precious, I am glad that you chose staying clean. Today might be full of moments to treasure but if you are challenged with difficulties keep doing what you are doing.
