So I'm a 34 soon to be 35 year old,

So I'm a 34 soon to be 35 year old, who has worked in the restaurant and bartending industry for 21 years now. Tomorrow will make 14 whole days of not one drop of alcohol. Never dabbled in any other drugs except cigarettes, which really only occurred when I drink/drank. My husband has also quit drinking and works in the restaurant with me, but I still feel like I don't have the support I need, maybe because I've had a long term addiction, or because others don't see it as a big deal that I am sober. The fact that I haven't snuck a shot here or here is insane and I feel a huge accomplishment, but still feeling alone. It's also my grandmas birthday today and she passed away in July. She was my best friend and biggest cheerleader, so today's going to be celebrating her and my accomplishments so far....just could use some extra lovens today guys :heart::heart:

First, welcome to Loosid and congrats on 14 days. Sounds like you are on the right path. I don’t know many people that can stay stopped on their own. I know tons of people that do it with the support of some program. This is a good place to start. I do AA meetings. Others do The Luckiest Club, or SMART recovery. Many of the ladies have shared some great quit lit books. Hopefully, some will reply with more info. Finally, I’m sorry that you’re going thru the pain of remembering your grandma on her bday. You know she would be so proud of your efforts, and want you to get help. Virtual hugs for you today :peace_symbol:

Great job on being 14 days sober. That's freaking AMAZING! Know that your grandma would be so proud of you.
