So much pain, from so many people! Why??? The truthful answer, I don't know.
In the last few days, I've heard so many things! The worst have been regarding the loss of two people. One of whom I knew of, but not on a personal level. The other I knew. Both made the ultimate sacrifice. One by his usage, the other by his own hand.
I understand!! I truly do. I have felt lost, confused, abandoned, betrayed, directionless, alone, scared...I have BEEN there, stuck in this disease!! In ALL of it, at one time or another. I too attempted to make the ultimate sacrifice several times. Still carry the bullet in me from one of them. But this was an attempt to provide a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
Use whatever cliché you want. There's at least a dozen of the out there. My favorite... "This too shall pass". And it will, I promise you! Easier said than done?? Yes....it is!!
But, it's still the truth!
Now I'm not trying to be condescending, to patronize anyone, or rob them of their moment. Have your experience! My purpose here is to let you know that you are not alone. WE are not alone.
