So the FDA approved the vaccine, what do you think, I haven’t gotten it yet, I don’t know what to believe anymore w my paranoid self :confused: any thoughts? Please be respectful

If we can put the amount of alcohol and drugs in our system, why not a vaccine? I caught covid but was vaccinated so I had no symptoms. I’ve had 5 friends die within the last 3 weeks and more fighting in ICU right now or did.

Yeah, we have lived with vaccines in our society since the 50’s. Couldn’t start school without them. Yet everyone grows up and forgets the simple things. We as addicts had no problem sticking needles in our arms with garbage from the street or taking other substances yet when science makes something that benefits humankind from a killer disease we balk. This virus is a bio weapon designed to continually change. It needs hosts to mutate and the more people it can find the harder it will be to stop. Afraid this is something that isn’t going to go away and like the flu on steroids it’s here to stay. Especially since people think they can beat it without using science. Science created it, only science can cure it. It’s the new reality. And to those who continue to use other substances on top of this crap being out to get you, good luck nit being sober. At least being sober it’s one less thing your system has to battle if you get infected.

I think people are relying too much on news stations and social media. I may die, but it won’t be because I listened to a politician instead of a doctor. Just remember what people have asked for years. Want to know when a politician is lying? When he opens his mouth.

I’m vaccinated. The pandemic will resolve quicker if more people get vaccinated. The choice is yours. Talk with your health provider and family and decide if you wish to hide away until it foes away or be part of a communal solution.

You’re so right, I probably sniffed rat poison at some point without question, but now that im sober I put more thought into what goes in my body. Thanks for the feedback !

Sorry to hear about your friends :/. I’m just trying to get out of my bubble and just be an active part of society, but it’s hard when there’s so many conflicting information out there. I will do my own research! Thank you!

I understand. I figured if it came down to not being able to go places, travel, etc..I would just get it done. Good thing I did! And I live in FL, no mandates.

I'm not a scientist so the science of it doesn't matter to me. I don't try to get my answers from FB or other social media. I got both my vaccinations just like I did when I was a kid, because the FDA said we had to to go to school and I didn't want to get polio, TB, and more. In the fifties and sixties you didn't argue, you just did it. So I agree that this virus is a bioweapon that China intentionally created to weaken the strength of the rest of the world so they could take over power. This is not paranoia; it's real. The ONLY way to stop it is for everyone to get vaccinated. People are still dying. I totally agree with all you said, Kevin R. Thank you.

Eh, my fellowship neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

Yeah, some folk just like to like a pedestal. Talking about life saving treatments is not endorsing a cause. Just common sense. Something we addicts have difficult with. I know my common sense is in need of refueling.

I got mine 3 months ago. We have all been vaccinated as children and it saved countless lives over the yrs

I'm glad the FDA finally approved it. I feel it to ba a bit rushed though. I can't take it due to health issues. The meds I'm on mixed with the side effects of the vaccine could kill me. Make sure to consult a doctor if you have preexisting conditions.
