So was asked to go to a concert with some

Yeah it’s a tough one to make the call on this - I’ve been getting through it by actually working at a music venue part time - it’s been awesome and fun and eye opening at all the debauchery that I once was a big part of as well

Quick tip for you (and anyone who may read this) about friends and early sobriety. Your real friends would never make you feel uncomfortable about a decision to overcome a struggle you're dealing with. If their main focus st a concert is to focus more on berating you for not drinking, and not enjoying the music - then them folks ain't your friends.

No one would say anything maybe ask me why but that’s it. I don’t think I’m comfortable with going it’s too early.

I made the mistake of going out a couple times after I stopped drinking (1-2 months in), and it was a mistake in hindsight. I didn’t slip and drink but I hated every minute of it. I got bored and it wasn’t my scene. After my third Shirley Temple (non alcoholic drink), I was over it, and I regretted offering to be DD because I had to stay the entire time.

I went to a wedding last night and had an ok time (being nice) but couldn’t wait to leave. I am still trying to figure out how to be a sober person in a very intoxicated environment. It’s tricky for sure!

It take time .I didn’t to any thing like that for at lest a year .or more.:dromedary_camel:
