I've waited quite a while before doing any live shows. We are small time so its bars and clubs...not a very safe place for me!
So tonight we are setting up to do what was our annual show.. until I bailed out to get sober.
Well, im back and very sober. A third of the band is also sober, and they have my back. The rest of them and the partygoers are gonna have to deal with a sober Steven!
Im wondering if I'll still enjoy playing out. I had terrible stage fright when I was younger, and the booze helped to make me think i was brave. Now it's just me up there and no Jack Daniels to make me invincible.
Wish me luck. Zero chance i will drink but maybe 50/50 if i do a second set. Drunks are a lot less fun when you dont join them.
