Sober Sleep 💤

How long were you sober when you started to obtain a good sleeping pattern?

I struggled for at least a month before I saw improvements in my sleep

That's pretty good. In most cases I heard it took months.

Oh man, 3 months? I couldn't imagine.

I took trazodone and melatonin in rehab for nearly 30 days and that helped a lot. Once I got out and stopped taking trazodone after 2 or 3 days of waking up early, I've been sleeping like a baby.

I honestly don't remember...I do know I have lots of dreams

Do you have repetitive or themed dreams?

Yes repetitive and at times themed

Sometime after 2 months

After 32 years I still get into bad sleep cycles.... working second shift does not help, but at least they last for shorter durations and are connected to traumatic events now.

Hahaha
I've never been able to sleep good Amanda. Even during childhood. My mother got up one time in the middle of the night and wondered what the lights were doing on downstairs. When she went downstairs, she found me sitting at the table board. Every once in awhile a day will come along where I actually sleep through the night but that don't happen very often. All my life I have gone without getting much more than four or five hours of sleep a night.
