Same here except for the weed part. But what I’m doing now that’s working is Counseling. I’m really making progress on a much more positive outlook.

Had a lot of people get on to me because I am on Suboxone of course I don't say that I'm sober either I say that I'm in recovery because technically I'm not sober I mean the definition of sobriety says that what I'm doing technically isn't sobriety it's recovery... Whatever it takes to live a productive life don't worry about what anybody else thinks or says or does focus on you for the first time in your life focus just on you you have to put yourself first... Just keep doing it man whatever works...

I lost everything to meth and alcohol. I have a medical marijuana prescription and use it when I need to. 8 years off meth, 4 years off alcohol.

Well to offer hope, I've used twice in 4 years. The last time was recent. Prior to that I had 18mo. I'm a disabled vet and each day is full of physical pain. There is hope and promise in sobriety. I have a better relationship with my family members than I could have ever hoped for.

As for opinions, that too can be an addiction as far as I'm concerned.

I'm going on 90 days come Halloween and I've been on all the drugs meth, weed, pills, everything but heroin. I've been doing it for 40 years. I'm 56 years of age. It's all about being sober minded, spiritually alert. Marijuana is a drug too just like Suboxone

Not seeking out opinions. Just stating what works for me and seeking out my tribe.

Spent 17 years on meth, quit 2 years ago to become an alcoholic, hard alcohol, quit 2 months ago, I have a beer or 2 a day , my friend says I really haven't quit , I think people need to see the hard work we've been thru and done and consider the rest collateral damage. Congrats to u keep up the great work!

I think that it's your journey. Sobriety is objective. We are not saints. Live your best life.

Heck yeah man. I have physical disability issues. Sobriety hard!

1 day at a time!

I like this, thank you for sharing bc there is a difference. Terms matter but this is a great way to put it.

I agree, congratulations...if it's improving,it's improving. God bless you!! Keep up the good work!! :100::muscle:

180 days sober and still smoking a lil weed. Some ppl think I'm not "sober" but it's nobody else's business. Alcohol was the problem for me. And I'll quit weed when I'm ready. Recovery from anything is huge! Keep going, keep improving... nvm anyone's opinion. Do you!

Thank you all i loved hearing all the replies !

I still smoke weed due to disability

Alcohol was the problem for me should I stop the weed also?

If possible. If it trips you up, I suggest you work one vice at a time.

You're still not sober. I'll leave it at that. Take the time and re-read your post
