Sobriety. Addiction recovery is more than stopping drinking or using

Sobriety.

Addiction recovery is more than stopping drinking or using. It's an ongoing process of growing and healing mentally, emotionally, physically, the
greatest gift I ever gave myself was putting that bottle down.

Yes I’m 64 days clean it’s been a journey and finally done wasting my life away. I took my first drink at 15yrs old, sadly to say one drink changed my whole life. Wish I never did but can’t change the past nor the past can’t define your further either. I’m living day by day finally feeling back to my old “messa” self and haven’t felt this AMAZING in over 15 years! It’s been a crazy journey withdraws for 2 weeks, loosing my best friend while in rehab. I’m ready for this next chapter God has for me.
Thank you for the people that has supported me throughout this journey (my guardian angel Dusty) :broken_heart: I love you buddy and miss you so incredibly much wish I was able to talk to you one last time but I know your here with me throughout all this  :green_heart:

It’s been a wild ride but I’m ready for this new chapter you got in store for me. :palms_up_together:

While I'm in rehab I have been given new perspective for my life. I now have hope I had thought was lost forever. I've am able to do things like volunteering at food pantries, attending an AA convention, building a network of sober peers that I would not have ever been able to do if not for sobriety. U sound like you got some new clarity in sobriety. Keep moving forward....
