Sobriety and pancreas issues

I am a little over 10 months sober and had pancreatitis numerous times while drinking. Since I've been sober, my amylase and lipase have been pretty low as opposed them to being super high when I was drinking and getting pancreatitis all the time. I am also pre-diabetic, and only .4 away from being considered diabetic. Has anyone else dealt with this ? I need to exercise and eat better, but it's difficult, as my Dr also thinks I may have sleep apnea. I'm always extremely tired and have usually a nap a day. I've of course spoken with my Dr about it, but was curious as to what my fellow recovering Kings and Queens thought about this.

It seems that you already know what to do. You’ve laid it out in your post. Get treated for sleep apnea, exercise and eat better.

Congratulations on 10 months!! Huge accomplishment.

Removing the poison of alcohol from your body will work wonders.
Just don’t drink one day at a time. It will continue to get better.

Had a family member also hospitalized due to pancreas issues. I'm happy to hear you have been sober so long! We choose our hard in life! It's hard to exercise and eat better and it's hard to be sick. Either choice is hard. Tiredness maybe due to your body healing? Sometimes it's best to listen to our bodies and not be too hard on ourselves. Many well wishes!

Removing the daily poison I was ingesting every day allowed my stomach and diverticulitis to heal and is still healing. Don't underestimate the healing power of plants which can even reverse damage we have done to our bodies
