Sobriety Coach?

Looking for a sobriety coach-does anyone know of any that are free/covered by insurance? I am newly sober, and really need the help to stay strong…

Find a sponsor in AA or NA…. It’s free!

Definitely get a sponsor in AA, there are people that are willing and capable of committing to your needs. Call other AA’s. Pick up the phone first. Have escape plans for situations that pose a risk to your sobriety.

Like the others said, try AA, NA or whatever the case may be. If those are not for you, find a therapist that specializes in addiction. Also, most insurance covers intensive outpatient programs. But you'll have your deductible/co-pays.

Thank you all!

I was going to recommend finding a sponsor because I agree with everyone here. My sobriety coach is the reason I got into AA, which led me to my sponsor, and is one of the many reasons why I now walk a free man. I am now blessed to have 7 men that I sponsor, and I live a happy, joyous, and free life just as the AA book describes. I would highly recommend AA, but you have to go into it open-mindedly, willing to follow suggestions and stay teachable. Also, try to relate and identify with people and their stories, rather than comparing yourself to them. I didn't drink every day, so I would always sell myself the lie that I wasn't like "them". I quickly realized that I am physically and mentally different and that my body changes when I put any alcohol in me and it demands MORE.

When you go to meetings, find a woman who is telling your story and has gone through the steps, and has taken other women through the steps and ask her to be your sponsor. I've seen hundreds of miracles all around me over the past 2 years from people who did just that. :pray:t2: Praying for you :pray:t2:

Welcome! You are not alone! I’ve been sober for 4 years, will be hitting my 5 years in August! I did AA meetings my first 6 months with a sponsor with 37 years of sobriety under her belt and I will say she kept me on the right path. Now I do it on my own and I don’t really recommend it lol! I’m now looking for sober apps and AA again. I usually go on google and search AA meeting near me, they are all free! Maybe start with a women’s zoom meeting to see if you like it! There is so many options. If you need a sober friend you can message me whenever. Again, you are not alone. We got this :muscle::+1:

Try meeting and sponsor
