I don’t remember my narcotics recovery date; 22y+ since that last bottle of Tylenol4 was prescribed to me after surgery and I turned it back into the emergency room I think the next night, because I had recently quit a narcotic and the psuedo-opioid medication made me sick.
On New Year’s Eve I will have put the bottle down for 9 years after a relapse for 4+ years after having put it down for 2 1/2 years. Otherwise I’m pretty sure I would be coming up close on 15 years because I was well and truly done with it until I caved in with my ex-wife drinking. I should’ve walked when she picked up that first drink in front of me, but I was busy doing my best to be a good man and it undermined my sobriety.
