Sobriety feels lonely
It doesn't have to. Find a good group to join. Make connections at the meetings. Build a new network of friends.
I’m 29 days in and making some new friends. I get it. It’s a life change. I am putting in the work to make new connections that are healthier. You can do it. One think I do is go to different meetings to meet a lot of people.
It certainly does at first but once you reach the other side of this you will have real meaningful relationships.
Meetings and getting numbers helps me.
I know what you mean but you’re not alone. We are in this together!
We gotta fight to stay above the water
Looks like you are at an age a lot of people are partying
Stay strong you got this
Meetings/meetings.talk to a lot of people.
It can feel lonely but it certainly is not. I’m still struggling to break free of the seclusion my addiction lead me to. Even going to 5 NA meetings a week for months now and being surrounded by my peers I still have a hard time fully opening up and becoming willing to accept others into my life. It’s just one of the many hardships that we face and must fight but it doesn’t have to become a battle as long as we can recognize and accept the fact that our situation is not unique and that there are in fact a whole lot of people that know exactly what we’re going through and feeling. You’re loved and understood here so don’t ever forget or question that.
