I used to say, “I can’t wait to not struggle with sobriety.” I have learned that day comes when I shuffle off this mortal coil, as they say. I’m ok with it though. Life without adversity isn’t life. I am glad I’ve come this far and conquered each day. Congrats on 5 years, and remember to keep moving. You can do it

And Yet, we hear that all lot in our stories. Like I haven’t got a DUI yet or I never been to jail yet. Yet stands for You’re eligible too! :joy:
I hope you’re doing well today. Sobriety does have its moments. It’s those moments when we need to turn to our tools and GOD for guidance.

Maria, you’re right. Sobriety is much harder than in the 1930’s and 40’s. But the “willingness” is the same. Just imagine how hard life would be if you relapsed. Life is more difficult but you, Maria, are stronger than people back in the “30’s and 40’s”!!!!!!

Have you ever thought why doesn’t Europe have a following like the states? Japan either,along with Italy, and especially France. Also you don’t hear about alcoholism how you do in the U.S. just a question I thought about while in rehab?? Makes ya think it’s a good money maker and even better morality issue for politicians to harp on during election season.

Yeah,that and the 7 yr itch you need to be on lookout for. Just stay close to ur support system and sponsor. I volunteer at the horse park helping handicap kids ride and do therapy

Hoorah good man. Just a couple hours more then sun will shine and another day with optimism,people you can help with ur knowledge,or you can just chill and talk with someone.

I have an idea or help with your battles. If you can find a horse and owner nice enough to let you ride. It’s amazing how much therapy they provide!!
